Dear Hyde Families,
Hello, my name is Joe Johnson. I am the principal at Richard J. Hyde Elementary School in the Moon Area School District. Hyde Elementary serves grades Kindergarten through 4th grade. Our neighborhood school services about 180 students each year.
Our goal here at Hyde Elementary is to “Be Kind.” We believe promoting acts of kindness will teach our students to set high achieving goals, build positive relationships amongst peers, and develop and grow into confident, independent learners.
Hyde Elementary has 32 experienced teachers who deliver a challenging curriculum and help students achieve their goals on a daily basis. Our staff supports our students in many ways and has created a culture of “family” in our school.
This is an exciting time to be a part of Hyde Elementary School and the Moon Area School District. I look forward to you joining our Hyde Elementary family and becoming a valuable part of our great school.
