It is with great pleasure that I present to you our 2024 annual report. As we reflect on another successful year, I am proud of the significant strides we have made in strengthening the academic programs that are at the core of our school district's mission.
We are excited to announce that the Moon Angel Tree Program is returning this holiday season! Last year, we were overwhelmed by the incredible generosity of our Moon Area families, whose contributions helped fulfill the wishes, needs, and dreams of 129 Moon Area students, bringing joy to many families during the holiday season.
Third grade students at Hyde Elementary School worked hard this week making their own balloons after reading "Balloons over Broadway." They made their own Array buildings and also wrote a persuasive writing on why the class should pick their balloon!
It may still be relatively warm outside, but the possibility of winter weather is right around the corner. As we prepare for the possibility of weather-related delays and closings, we want to make sure families are as prepared as possible.
Hyde Elementary School students and staff gathered to honor veterans on Veterans Day. In a heartfelt display of respect and unity, the entire school recited the Pledge of Allegiance together, followed by a moment of silence to remember and honor those who have fallen in service to our country.
This meaningful tribute allowed students to reflect on the sacrifices made by our nation’s heroes. Today -- and every day -- we honor our veterans and thank them for their dedication and service to our country.
Officer Hale recently visited Hyde Elementary. He read to Mrs. Seiler's and Mrs. Shaver's classes and then everyone received a book to take home.
